1. If it's NC-17, there will have been frotting/clothed/wall sex
2. It'll be a little abstract
3. Reading it will have a 'flowy' feeling
4. There will always be a beginning, middle, and end
5. Pairings may vary, but it will typically be "generic" (Dean/Cas, Sam/Gabriel, Jack/Ianto, Tony/Control, etc)
