Charlie update
Jun. 12th, 2009 01:39 pmSo, this morning, we brought Charlie into the vet so they could have a looksie into his larynx, and see what was going on.
They ended up starting late, due to some unexpected drop offs, but about a half an hour ago the vet called to check in. She wanted to double check that i wanted to do the procedure, since he was quiet and not doing his usual breathing.
But..see earlier post on that.
about 10 minutes after that, she called again to tell me Charlie was waking up. They'd found the culprit.
His left tonsil was swollen, as was his larynx.
She put him on steroids, and he'll be on antibiotics for a few weeks.
It's one of those catch 22's. You don't want something to be wrong, but at the same time, you do...because that means there's something that can be fixed.
I'm relieved, though, and looking forward to seeing how he does.
Plus, he dropped two pounds.
