Dec. 7th, 2007 06:20 amLast night's Hannukah was an absolutely amazing surprise.
Since we're not so financially sound at the moment, i really didn't expect much of anything. I'm not big on getting gifts, and i was happy to have Heather home. She always made Hannukah...Hannukah at our house.
This years latkes rate as one of the best.
Mom made the most amazing meatballs (and the butt of the night's jokes).
So many presents! i was stunned!
I'd gotten Heather a gift pack of drinking games to play with friends; Grandma the latest Jodi Piccoult book, and Dad the ultimate Scrabble dictionary. Hadn't gotten Mom's gift yet.
My winnings for the eve were:
Two books (the latest Monk and Stephen Colbert's I Am America, and So Can You!)
Bath stuff from 'Philosophy'- Cookies and Milk. (From Heather. She knows my nightime snack.)
A lovely, comfy shirt from Grandma
Nintendo DS (hee!) along with Brain Age and Brain Age 2 (Because i love working my brain, just not using it)
We actually played dreidle as a family for the first time in...i think... ever.
Considering how things with the house and stuff have been going..i would have loved to just freeze last night and bottle it.
Guess i'll need to find my camera cable when i get home from work.
