Just..shoot me now.

The other day, Dad left the fridge open, and Dillon inhaled an entire package of raw meat, leaving him with the stomachache from hell.

Fine the first night. Yesterday it was just...y'know, i'll spare you the details.

Last night i was up with him all night, running him out to the bathroom every hour (If i was that lucky).

1:00am, took him outside, and the sprinkles went off. I was soaked, Dillon was soaked, and my AC was on high blast.

Went to bed about 2:00am. Half hour later, out again.

Rinse and repeat..

5:30, had to go out with him, and didn't bother going back to sleep.

Set him and Charlie up in the kitchen with the dog gate, tied it shut, pushed things against the gate. They still got out.

8:30 i was just like... 'Know what, fuckit. i'm early. I'll go to Dunkin Donuts, relax, have breakfast and a drink."

Went out to the bus about 8:45 for an 8;55 bus.

Stood right at the sign.

Bus driver sees me, and blows right past.

Next bus is at 9:55. Would get me there...10:05-10:10 for a 10:15 class.

I had stuff to print for class, because our printer is shot.

Got in touch with mom, and we tried to get in touch with Dad, but we had the wrong work number.

Finally, got in touch. Dad's coming from work to drive me.

I feel like there's a reason i'm not supposed to get to class. But. Whatever.

I keep reciting 'Alexander and the Terrible horrible no good very bad day.'

Mom says some days are like that.

Even in Australia.

I wish i were in australia

Yesterday, Charlie got a hold of a dead bird, because the gardeners who do the property have this thing where they're all, "Oh, dead bird, lets just push it under a bush."

Luckily, he dropped it instantly. Yeah, Char, wild dead birds taste icky, don't they?

My aunt and uncle came in from NY. (The ones i like, obviously.)

Then last night Dillon kept having to go to the bathroom and wouldn't settle down.

Then, he finally did, and Charlie  woke up from a dead sleep and started lurching around the room like a maddog, holding his front leg up, and basically going nuts.

So i went to him, and his legs were drawn up, completely locked up, and twitching and jerking. His pupils were gigantic and kept slumping to the floor.

It was later at night, so i tried calling for my dad to keep Charlie still, but Dad was outside smoking, and clearly too busy to come help me out.

So i kept Charlie still, and talked to him until he eventually relaxed.

Dad was all, 'It was a muscle spasm, relax. He probably tried to just run it off, like people do.'

Like i've never seen a dog have a seizure before, Dad. And i also didn't go to vet school or nothing

Told my mom what happened this morning when i took my meds, before returning to bed.

Half hour later she had already looked online, talked to her friend who had the same situation with her dog, and confirmed a seizure. More than likely a toxin from the dead bird.

My mom is awesome.

Then i got a nosebleed, and went to curl up and watch Beautiful People, but it didn't TAPPPEEE.

Anyone have a link to last night's episode? Not like it's not going to be shown 855834290 billion times

Party at the apartment complex today, 'cause everyone here wanted to surprise us with a going away party.

So...why exactly are we doing all the cooking and preparation, again?

also. I'm laughing at myself. Was talking to [livejournal.com profile] zekkass  last night, got hit by a sudden sack o sleepies, and typed out my best line EVER:

"IOkay Igalling asleep sittng nigh!_4"

What. WHAT. I mean, i was...drifting in and out of consciousness, but i can assure  you, that was supposed to be, "Okay, i'm falling asleep sitting up. Good night!"

And now for something completely different:

Dear Boss Lady.

I've been working for almost a year already, and i don't think you'll ever know what an accomplishment that has been for me. In fact, knowing you don't know what i've overcome, and doing it without your support makes me damn proud.

I always liked that you always seemed appreciative of when i came in on one of my days off, or spur of the moment.

However, I don't appreciate your tendency to take your frustrations out on me when you're stressed, or had a bad day. You're the manager...learn to deal with it.

You don't owe me anything,I'm an employee. I just walk the dogs, do the laundry, and clean. But i'll recap.

In October, i sprained my ankle really, really bad. That was on a Tuesday. You let me take off Wednesday. Now, Tuesdays and Thursdays are my dogs off, correct? And that week was the week of the hospital evaluation. I came in on Thursday. Friday. Saturday. Sunday. For hours at a time. No, i'm not blaming you for the fact that because of this, my ankle will never have properly healed.

But i pushed myself to help out. A thank you would have been nice. And yes, that same month i took off for a few days to go to NY. And i got to see my grandmother, unaware that it would be the last time.

The following month, i took off again, because my grandmother had passed. And i didn't even stay with my family. I came back to work the day i landed back in AZ.

By the way, don't think i didn't read the poster that entitles an employee to BEREAVEMENT leave. That would have been good to know.

Since then, i have worked my ass off...through sickness, and pain. Came in on days off when the other kennel worker had a tummy ache. Worked whole days alone when i'd been throwing up.

I've taken the brunt of your stressed out days. Been accused of things i didn't do.

I was recently informed that my emails to you had gone to the spam box. Fine.

I gave you 2 months advanced notice that i was going to NY for family, and i needed to board my dogs. And now i know that weekend is spring break, but i didn't know that earlier. And you make it like it's my fault...and we're booked

Way to take my head off, by the way, on that.

Called this morning. I understand you were manning the front office on your own, and i had no problem with you calling me back to discuss squeezing in Dillon and Charlie. Which you didn't.  I did get an email with you biting my head off about you "Having it covered." i know you had it covered! I need to know about the boys, okay? That's all.

I'm tired of cleaning up shit, to be honest. Tired of riding my bike to walk, and clean, and feed, and clean, and ride back.

I'm tired of being treated like i'm always doing something wrong.

I tried, okay?

No thanks, and many migraines later,
Lauren
